Soybeans are a natural, renewable resource. Soy is also biodegradable, and burns cleaner with no petro-soot. Soy candles burn more slowly than paraffin candles of the same size. And, for those of you who are like me and don't like a mess, soy wax cleans easily with soap and water.

We want to share a little bit of our wonderful state with you. That's why we have worked hard to select not only scents that can help you create a cozy enviornment and relax, but scents that represent some of the things we love about Louisiana. Pecan Praline, Crème Brûlée, as well as some scents reminiscent of adult beverages you might enjoy in the French Quarter, are just a few of our favorites.

We at Port City Candle Co. are excited to share our hand-poured candles with you! Our candles are crafted to have excellent scent when hot or cold, filling your space with fragrance. Whether you prefer floral scents, rich, full-bodied fragrance, or clean, fresh scents, we have a candle for you. Each of our candles is double-wicked to allow for a smooth, complete burn. We recommend allowing your candle to burn for 2 hours when you first light it, which creates a smooth melt pool and prevents tunneling during future burnings. Because we use 100% organic soy wax, you may notice some slight variations in the adhesion to the glass jar - this is unique to 100% pure soy wax and does not affect your candle's performance.
